Diego Stinco

A.I.O.M.’s Managing Director since 2015

1974  After obtaining a diploma from the Nautical Institute of Trieste and serving in the Italian Navy, he becomes a Ship’s Captain.

He joins the permanent staff of Lloyd Triestino di Navigazione and continues his activity as a deck officer on general-cargo, passenger, container and ro-ro vessels on the routes going to the East and Africa.

1985  He holds successive administrative positions in the commercial and operational divisions of the same Company.

1992   He becomes Head of the Line of the Far East service.

1997  He is appointed General Director of the Regional Coordinating Office of Abidjan (Ivory Coast) with jurisdiction on all the company activities in Western, Eastern and Southern Africa.

1998  He returns to Trieste as Head of the Operational Service and later Head of the lines to Africa.

2000   He is entrusted with the opening and launching of the General Agency of the Company in the United States, namely Lloyd Triestino America Corporation, as Executive Vice- President and a member of the Board.

After over thirty years of service, he leaves Lloyd Triestino to work as a consultant in the sector of shipping with particular reference to the role and potentials of Trieste.

He starts his collaboration with Società Adria Maritime S.p.A of Trieste, operating in the Mediterranean feeder sector with a general managerial mandate for the commercial development of the company. Subsequently, with the T.O. Delta S.p.A. Company, he follows the general and commercial management of the feeder sector, with particular reference to the Adriatic area and the transhipment services transiting through Trieste and connected to the main ports of the Adriatic Sea, as well as the rail links for container transport to the hinterland of this port.

2012   He sets up Società Adriatica Servizi Marittimi with the aim of providing assistance, advice and new projects in intermodality as well as maritime and land transport.
